GOD SAVE US FROM RELIGION was the second book from Ian Ross Vayro. It is published by Joshua Books, Queensland and this web page will give you a run down of what Ian covers in each chapter.
Commencing on page 288, Ian Vayro takes a close look at 22 milestones in the life of Jesus which can all be traced to Egyptian rituals and their religious texts. Before we get to the actual comparisons, Ian has this to say:
"Of major concern to us in this work is the fact that, outside the bible, the life of Jesus is pretty much a blank canvas. Many other sources also validate our belief that much attributed to Jesus is, in fact, pure allegory. (Note: extensively covered in "They Lied to us in Sunday School, page 378).
We believe that, like Ezra, the allegoric Jesus went to Egypt and there, learned mysteries, most likely in Alexandria and his entire Biblical teachings seem to be in line with these mysteries. We will now look at the events in the supposed life of the Biblical Christ, which apparently came directly from the same Egyptian sources, used by Ezra, in the Old Testament. If we care to study things outside the Bible, we will discover that ancient Egyptian scriptures appear to have been carried over into our Bibles to actually reflect the milestones in the life of the allegoric Jesus. This is a fairly serious accusation and if shown to be true, has some fairly staggering repercussions for the Church. We saw, earlier, that George Gurdjieff actually stated:
"It will seem strange to many people when I say that prehistoric Egypt was Christian, many thousands of years before the birth of Christ, that is to say that its religion was composed of the same principles and ideas that constitute true Christianity.' (P.D. Ouspensky, 'In Search of the Miraculous: Fragments of an Unkown Teaching', copyright 1949. Also included in Part 1 of the award winning film, The Life & Significance of G.I. Gurdjieff", written, narrated and directed by William Patrick Patterson.)
We will now see evidence that Gurdjieff was entirely correct and according to his student, P.D. Ouspensky, he goes further, stating that the Egyptian spirituality equates to the central idea behind all dualistic religious belief structures. It is the unifying essence, behind the mystical traditions of all religions.
To quote an example, the Egyptian 'Litany of Ra' is addressed to the Sun-God Ra in a variety of characters, many of which appear to be aligned to the Christ of the Gospels. Ra is the All Powerful, the Scarab Beetle that rests in the Empyrean, who is born of one parent, as his own son. The Scarab drags a ball of dung with it, simulating the Sun crossing the heavens. The female lays her eggs in a pad of dung and departs, making the Egyptians believe that the male rejuvenates itself in the hatched young beetles that come forth out of the dung, in a renewal similar to the legendary phoenix bird. This is also mirrored in the resurrection of the Christ figure.
In John's Gospel, when Jesus writes: 'I and the Father are one', He is likely thinking of the male scarab producing young without the aid of a female and this thought is directly from the early Egyptian mentality. In the 'Litany of Ra', we find, too, that:
• Ra is designated as the 'soul that speaks', whereas Christ is the 'Word'.
• Ra is listed as the 'destroyer of venom', Jesus tells us; 'In My name they shall take up serpents and if they drink any deadly thing it shall not hurt them.'
• In one character, Ra is the 'outcast', and in line with this, scripture tells us that both Jesus and Mohammed had 'not a place to lay His head'. (Gerald Massey's Lectures 'The Historical Jesus and Mythical Christ', originally published in a private edition c.1900)
• We may also note that Ra is documented as 'the timid one', who sheds tears for the afflicted. This humble Egyptian God (as Remi, the Weeper), passes through 'Rem-Rem, the place of weeping' and there conquers, on behalf of his followers, the 'Afflicted Ones'. In the ritual, Ra says; I have desolated the place of weeping.' (Ibid).
• This characteristic is sustained by Jesus, in the mourning over Jerusalem that was to be desolated and His words were like a carven statue of the 'Afflicted Ones'. The words in the Gospel of John, 'Jesus wept at their disbelief', continue this theme.
•
It seems that Jesus did more than just study the scripture of Egypt, He lived and breathed it He was intitiated into their secrets and mystery schools, then went on to dedicate His life to replicating the records found there and taking that message to the ordinary (uninitiated) people. Let us look at some of the Biblical milestones in the life of Jesus and evaluate them within an Egyptian context. Be ready for some surprises:
1. Jesus goes to Egypt
2. Jesus, in His 12th year, seeks knowledge in the Temple
3. Jesus starts His ministry at age 30
4. The baptism of Jesus
5. The teachings of Jesus include self sacrifice, surrendering will to God, resisting temptation
6. Attacking the money changers
7. Raising the dead and the raising of Lazarus
8. Healing the sick and casting out demons
9. The 40 day fast and following temptation of Christ
10. Feeding the multitude with loaves and fishes
11. The false trial
12. Dragging the cross in the crucifixion parade
13. Golgotha (the place of the skull)
14. The Crucifixion
15. My God, why hast Thou Forsaken Me?
16. The soporific drink given on the cross
17. Wrapped in linen as a mummy
18. Placed in a tomb
19. The three days to Resurrection
20. Return to His Father, Jehovah
21. Death and Resurrection
22. Achieving Eternal Life
I believe that all Christians would have to agree that these are probably the most notable milestones, specifically, from the life of the Biblical Jesus. If, in fact, we could discover that these milestones, without exception, were exact facsimiles of ancient Egyptian records, then that would surely destroy the last vestiges of doubt we could have that the work in the Bible is plagiarised from other ancient scriptural records; and that ancient secret knowledge makes up a large part of the Bible's motif. It would further show that the Christian message is, in no way, unique or original and that Jesus actually left us no new or innovative doctrine. This is precisely what we can examine study and verify for ourselves in these pages.
If you haven't already looked at the evidence, then begin with the page proving the identity of King Solomon. On this point there isn't the slightest doubt whatsoever.
The evidence is so long and rock hard only a blind person might fail to see who was who and what really happened.
