The bible tells us that there were two Joshua’s. Each of them can be identified as Kings of Egypt.
1JOSHUA THE BETHSHEMITE.
1 Samuel 6:18/19 “...even unto the Great Stone of Abel, whereon they set down the Ark of the Lord; which stone remaineth unto this day in the field of Joshua, the Beth-Shemite. And he smote the men of Bethshemesh because they had looked into the Ark of the Lord ...and the people lamented because the Lord had smitten many of the people with a great slaughter.”
We know exactly where Bethshemesh was since biblical scholars have spelt it out for us when revising the King James Version - Jeremiah 43:13 "He shall break also the images of Bethshemesh, that [is] in the land of Egypt; and the houses of the gods of the Egyptians shall he burn with fire."
Jeremiah 43:13 (Revised Standard Version) - "He shall break the obelisks of Heliopolis which is in the land of Egypt; and the temples of the gods of Egypt he shall burn with fire."
Only a King of Egypt could own a field in Egypt.
Heliopolis is the City of On, near to Cairo, which was at that time called Babylon. This was quite possibly, the original Babylon. The Great Stone of Abel has to be The Great Pyramid, which is Mount Sinai, Zion and The Tower of Babel. The only cover up here is that the initial 'B' and the ending 'on' have been dropped from 'Abel'.
Genesis 10:10" And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel, and Erech, and Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar.
Here we have further confirmation, for the Greek Septuagint reads 'Babylon', not Babel, and Shinar is another English variation of Sinai and Zion. Or, it may be that Shinar was Mount Shennai, Egyptian for the Great Pyramid.
From 2630 - 2611 BCE Egypt was ruled by a 3rd Dynasty King called Djoser - Netjerykhet. Djoser/Joshua is well known for having built the Step Pyramid at Dashour.
2. JOSHUA THE SON OF NUN.
We first meet Joshua the Son of Nun in Numbers 13:16 and then in Numbers 27:18 Moses ordains Joshua to be his successor. Judging by the events that then follow, quite a long time passes before Joshua is recalled – Deuteronomy 31:14.
But wait a moment, there is something very strange going on here, for he is no longer called Joshua or Hoshea, but instead, he is now named as JESUS !!! I wonder just how many of the faithful are aware of this subtle but very meaningful change of name?
The original Greek when transliterated into Roman letters becomes IESOUS and this is the name used in all Greek texts for Jesus.
Furthermore the very next book of the Bible in the Greek Septuagint is called THE BOOK OF JESUS - NOT JOSHUA.
There is a very good reason as to the importance of this change in name. All Kings of Egypt were believed to be the living Son of God, who was known to them as IOSA. This is the Egyptian name for Jesus, and it still is the same – Iosa – in Gaelic. After the Greek invasion of Egypt many names were Hellenised and Iosa simply became Iesous, which in English became 'Jesus'.
Joshua was not only the new King of Egypt and her Israel subjects, but he was the new Son of God, namely, IOSA or JESUS.
Since we have established that Joshua the Bethshemite in 1 Samuel was the Pharaoh DJOSER, we should now find a King following Akhenaten/Moses with the very same name, and there is!
Today, Egyptologists generally recognise the kings who followed Akhenaten as being Smenkhkare, YmnTwtAnkh, and then Ay. All of these kings were short-lived in reign or life. YmnTwtAnkh may not even have been a living king, and Smenkhkare springs up out of nowhere. Ay lasted only a year or two. These three kings were never recognised as kings by those who followed them, to the extent that their names were erased from the Kings' Lists.
The next king of any prominence is known to us as Horemheb. This is nothing like Djoser/Joshua, but it was only his first name. His throne name was DJOSER Setepenre. The name Djoser really means 'Sacred' or 'Holy'.
We have more evidence than just the name 'Djoser'. Horemheb had been a general of the army before becoming king, and the chapters that follow make it very clear that Jesus/Joshua was a remarkable general. He also had something else in common with the bible Joshua – He knocked down the City Walls of Akhetaten, and raised the city to the ground, carting away the building blocks for filling in his new temples and pylons.
The Book of Jasher tells us that Moses was at odds with Miriam. MeriYmn was part of Horemheb's name – Horemheb MeriYmn. It is therefore more likely that Miriam was not a sister of Akhenaten (though he did have a daughter of that name – Meritaten then MeriYmn), but was in fact Jesus/Joshua the sun of Nun. Nun was the Egyptian God of the Heavenly Deep, and so Nun would have been a God Name.
The bible scribes would have been in something of a quandary to explain how Joshua succeeded Moses. They had turned their back on all Egyptian connections, and yet there was no denying that the next king of Egypt/Israel had stayed behind to rule Egypt. Israel was still ruled by Egypt. The only way out was to fake the time line and pretend that that it all happened 500 years later than it did.
